Boy Scout Merit Badge Class - Citizenship in the Community
A nation is a patchwork of communities that differ from each other and may be governed differently. But regardless of how local communities differ, they all have one point in common: In the United States, local government means self-government. Good citizens help to make decisions about their community through their elected local officials. With some preparation done at home beforehand, this class covers all Citizenship in the Community* requirements except requirement 7. When taken outside of a camp package, requirements 3 & 7 are not covered.
All scouts registering for this class are required to bring a blue card with their unit leader's signature to start this class.
*All scouts attending merit badge classes must be in Class A uniforms, with no exceptions granted. Scouts that fail to come to class in proper attire will not be allowed to remain in class and there will be no refunds provided.
